My passion is youth and theater in service to God. I exist to captivate the imagination of youth by educating, challenging and inspiring transformational growth. I endeavor to fully utilize my life and career to meaningfully impact others for Christ. I have notable work, research, education, and onstage experiences that I am excited to pass on to the greater Church. I look forward to working alongside you in ministry!

 

I am dedicated to making the greatest impact in a person's life, namely during childhood and adolescence. Studies from Piaget to Barna consistently highlight the importance of this age group in matters of life formation. Moral, cognitive, social, emotional and physical developments are at their peak during these relatively short years. I believe the worldview constructed in the childhood to adolescent timeframe becomes the personal framework of an individual for the remainder their life. Significant life events and seemingly trivial choices are each processed through the lens of these transformative experiences. Therefore, I am devoted to positively influencing this early childhood timeframe to impact the future background and foundation of each individual.

 

My work experience is a testimony to my commitment of utilizing theater as a means to impact children and youth. When I entered college, my dream was to create a traveling youth theater group who performed dramatic art for high schools and middle schools educating the importance of wise choices. After attaining my degree in Adolescent Studies, I connected with Christian Youth Theater (CYT), a value based after school theater arts training program. I fell in love with the organization's like minded mission and felt led to create a satellite program in Colorado. After establishing a CYT in Denver, I turned my attention to utilizing theater to revolutionize children's ministry in a formal church setting at Cherry Hills Community Church. A decade later, my experiences and drive has not wavered from my original goal. Today, I am poised for the next step in living out my mission by assisting other churches in their Children's and Family Ministry revolution.

 

I desire to push the envelope of not only what has been done in Children's Ministry but what is possible. I want to creatively utilize my background and my unique ability to connect theater with the church, and impact the lives of His kids and grow them in the character of Christ.
